What is the difference between Lithium-Ion and LiFePO4 batteries?

Lithium-Ion batteries are lightweight, fast charging and perform well in high drain devices such as flashlights.  LiFePO4 (Lithium Iron Phosphate) batteries are heavier, provide a longer cycle life, improved thermal stability and deep discharge capabilities making them a good option for off-grid solar, RVs and other long-term storage applications.
