Gel Batteries

Gel batteries have advantages over lead acid batteries in certain applications.

1. They are leak proof.  Unlike lead acid batteries, they do not contain liquid acid and will not leaked if tipped over or punctured.
2. They are much more durable in extreme temperatures when compared to lead acid batteries with an operating range of -40°F (-40°c) to 140°F (60°c).
3. They have a longer design life due to a slower discharge rate and can last 2-3 times longer than lead acid batteries.

They are often a great option in electric vehicles like mobility equipment and ebikes.
