Warranty Information
All products sold by Royal Battery Sales Ltd. are covered by a warranty against defects in material and workmanship for the applicable warranty period. If your product fails due to a manufacturer defect, you may be eligible for a replacement product at no cost. Any remaining warranty coverage on your original purchase will carry over to your replacement item. Replacement items do not receive a new or extended warranty period.
Warranty Coverage & Eligibility
Your warranty begins on your date of purchase.
For battery warranties, the following conditions apply:
General Requirements:
- The battery must show no visible sign of overheating, physical damage or mishandling.
- For 12 Volt batteries, the returned units must have at least 10 Volts when returned to our store for support.
- For 6 Volt batteries, the returned units must have at least 5 Volts when returned to our store for support.
- The battery must be unrecoverable.
- The battery may need recharging at our store when returned for testing, which could take up to 48 hours.
- Failure must occur within the warranty period based on the specific model and application.
- Warranty applies only to the original purchaser.
What is Not Covered Under Warranty
The following situations are not covered by warranty:
- Overcharged batteries
- Over-discharged batteries
- Frozen batteries
- Batteries that have been used in an application which requires a more powerful battery
- Modification to batteries
- Damage from accidents, collision or fire
- Jump Start error
- Damaged posts or terminals
How to File a Warranty Claim
In-Store Warranty:
Bring the original product with your original receipt to our store for evaluation. We’ll test your item within a reasonable time and if defective under warranty terms, replace it.
Shipping Warranty:
If you cannot return your item in person, you are responsible for the shipping costs to send your product to us for testing.
Manufacturer vs In-House Warranties
Some products are warrantied directly by the manufacturer, while others are handled by Royal Battery Sales. If you’re unsure which applies, contact our customer service team and we’ll assist you with the correct process.
